Cashew Milk Recipe
Up to 60% of the population have a reduced ability to breakdown lactose (the sugar in dairy) .
For this reason, anyone that experiences bloating, diarrhoea, digestive issues, hayfever, eczema, asthma, acne, high insulin levels, hormonal imbalances or immune dysfunction will want to give plant based milks a red hot go!
Plus, when it’s homemade it really is just two ingredients - cashews and water. Store bought ones often contain less than 7% of actual cashew nuts, and can have up to six preservatives!
I love cashew milk or almond milk in a coffee, smoothie, chai or hot cacao
Cashew milk (for one mug):
50 g cashews
300 g filtered water
Blend (in a high powered blended for 30-60 seconds)
Serve (or store in a glass container for up to 4 days in the fridge. Shake before use)
