Who isn’t a fan of salted chippies?!

Especially when it’s chicken salt inspired and takes you back to childhood days at the beach when you snag fish and chips at the end of the day!

All you need is a bunch of green or purple kale (which you can score for $1-$2 when they’re in season), onion powder, olive oil and Himalayan salt!

Ingredients:

  • Batch of green/purple kale chips

  • 2 TBSP onion powder

  • 2 TBSP olive oil

  • 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt

Method:
1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees and line a baking tray with baking paper & then wash the kale and dry it with a clean tea towel
2. Break kale leaves off stem into large bite size pieces
3. Put kale pieces in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 TBSP onion powder and 1/4 tsp of himalayan salt
5. Mix it in - don’t be shy, best to use your hands and massage in until every kale leaf is covered
6. Lay kale leaves out flat on your baking tray. Ensure the chips are not touching otherwise they won’t go crispy
7. Bake for 10 mins (set a timer as they can burn easily) or until cooked
Voila - enjoy!

And it just so happens that kale is one of the most nutrient-dense vegetables! It’s high in Vitamin C, Vitamin A and B vitamins; all which support immunity, digestion, energy, hormones and mood!
