Choc Mint Bliss Balls

Growing up, I’d get a Tim Tam or Mint Slice biccie once every so often, and gees did I savour the taste. These choc mint bliss balls aren’t quite the same, but they’re not far off! The best thing is that they’re jam-packed with nutrients (so you can have seconds or even thirds!), to regulate blood sugar levels, support healthy hormones and promote bowel regularity!

Like the other bliss ball recipes I’ve shared, these contain the three macronutrients - carbs-fibre, fats and protein, to keep you satiated, regulate mood, support healthy hormones, promote recovery + muscular health and support a thriving gut microbiome.

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups almonds or cashews

  • 10 medjool dates, seeds removed

  • 1/4 cup cacao powder

  • 8 drops therapeutic-grade peppermint essential oil (I use doTERRA essential oils)

  • Pinch salt

  • Optional - 2 tablespoons of collagen powder

Method:

  1. Put the nuts in the blender and blitz for 10 seconds

  2. Add remaining ingredients and blitz until smooth

  3. Roll into bite-size balls and place in the fridge for at least 10 minutes to ‘set’

  4. Enjoy!
