Supporting Your Respiratory and Immune Health

The air quality in Australia is shockingly poor and is amongst the poorest air quality in the world, at this time. As our country burns and we are devastated by loss of life, homes and animals, each day feels relentless as we’re waking up to heartbreaking news/images of the bushfires and harmful measurements of air quality and smoke. Some days have been so smoky, the effects of breathing in the air have been reported to be similar to to smoking a packet of cigarettes a day.

The NSW Department of Environment data showed the highest polluted areas of Sydney, in the southwest, registered 680 PM2.5, one day last month. To give you perspective, the city’s normal air pollution reading is five to eight PM2.5.

There are a few things you can do naturally to support your respiratory system, boost your immunity, purify the air in your home/office and some nutritional tips to help combat hay-fever, asthma, eye irritation and allergy flare-ups due to the smoke.
