The power of the mind
Physical health is one aspect of health - I think too often emotional and mental health is neglected or overlooked.
When it comes to changing the trajectory of your health and restoring your WHOLE health, we need to stop and look at your default behaviour, the self sabbotage and the self-liming beliefs that can be stopping us from reaching our health goals and true health.
Too often health practitioners and health programs focus on pathology and physical health, yet in my experience, emotional and mental health can have a far greater impact on restoring your whole health and addressing dis-ease.
We can have up to 60,000 thoughts a day - we get to CHOOSE which thoughts we pay attention to, which thoughts we stew over, and which ones we let go.
Let’s look at the power of the mind in terms of weight loss and weight management. This is such a good example because the medical research shows that over 80% of people that lose weight, regain it within five years. And a big piece of the puzzle when it comes sustainable fat loss and weight management, is the mind, and yet very few fat loss programs or health programs teach you about reading hunger cues, eating intuitively, nourishing your body, rewriting your relationship with food, understanding food triggers, sabotage behaviours, the power of the mind, mantras, etc.
